The speaker has presented collective research results of "Comparative Studies on the Cultural Exchange in the Sea Ports of the 17-18th Centuries" which had focused on six sea ports in Asia by using the archives of the Dutch East India Company. He also has expressed the possibility of writing a genuine global history through the succeeding research project, "Eurasian Modernity and New Global History".
