Theme: Research Trend and Outlook for the History of Shanghai
Speaker: Bae Kyoun-ghan (Professor of History Department, Shilla University)
Prof. Bae has presented several important and interesting points on the study of Shanghai in this colloquium. Among others, the following three points have contributed a lot to the understanding of Shanghai as a subject of research: the positioning of Shanghai in the context of the Chinese Modern History; the recent research trend on Shanghai in Korea, China and Japan as well as in the West; a new perspective for the interactive history of Busan-Shanghai.
