Viewing the sea from the perspective of the Humanities, professor Lee presents a history of ocean civilization which had been composed of various sea-spheres and sea-ports throughout history. Professor Hwang discusses three topics: perception and position of sea literature; sea literature writings at home and aboard; problem and task of sea literature in Korea.
